Our Approach
We cover renewable energy the way communities actually need it covered: technically honest, practically grounded, and cooperative by design.
There is no shortage of renewable energy content online. Most of it is either promotional material from vendors, high-level policy summaries, or academic papers written for specialists. None of those serve a community energy cooperative trying to evaluate a wind project.
We write for that cooperative. For the working group that has to explain a technical proposal to members who did not study engineering. For the treasurer who needs to understand how capacity factor affects revenue projections. For the planning committee that wants to know what a grid connection study actually involves before signing anything.
Core Principles
We do not smooth over the difficult parts. Wind turbines at small scale have real efficiency constraints. Biomass has real logistics challenges. Battery storage has real cost implications. We explain these clearly so communities can make informed comparisons rather than discovering problems after commitment.
Individual homeowner solar and community cooperative solar are different projects with different rules, different economics, and different governance needs. We frame everything from the collective perspective because that is who this platform is for. The engineering explanations account for shared ownership from the start.
Not every reader needs every level of detail. Content is structured so you can engage at the overview level or drill into the engineering specifics. The same topic might have a plain-language introduction, a technical parameters section, and a worked example using realistic figures for a small Polish community.
We are an educational platform, not a product comparison site or an installer directory. We have no financial relationship with equipment manufacturers or project developers. That means we can discuss the tradeoffs between competing approaches without steering readers toward a particular commercial outcome.
Practical Application
Understanding a concept is one thing. Applying it to a specific site with a specific community and specific regulatory environment is another. Our content bridges that gap by working through realistic scenarios, explaining how to interpret data from actual assessment tools, and describing what each stage of a project development process involves.
We focus on Poland's regulatory context while also covering EU-level frameworks that apply across member states. The energy community provisions in the Renewable Energy Directive, the rules around collective self-consumption, and the specifics of how prosumer regulations work in Polish law are all addressed.
That specificity matters. Generic European-level content often misses the national implementation details that determine whether a project is actually viable.
